A Track that originates from the 'Franz Ferdinand' album sessions that took place in late summer 2003 in Malmo, Sweden under the guidance of producer Tore Johansen. The track subsequently didn't make it onto the final mix of the album.

A re-recorded version of the song with rewritten vocals and a new arrangement can be found on the 'Michael' CD2 single, this particular version is taken from the 'Chateau Demo CR-R' which was recorded at the Chateau in Glasgow, early 2003.

Another track that originates from the 'Franz Ferdinand' album sessions, which didn't make it onto the final mix of the album. The track however, has since been re-recorded and re-mixed with 'Dan The Automator' on production duties for a possible future single release. As above, also lifted from the 'Chateau Demo CD-R'.

Recorded during may 2004 in Hamburg, Germany and originally intended for release as a single, the band recorded an alternative version of their track 'Michael' which took the guise of a duet, with rewritten lyrics so that they were from the perspective of a guy and a girl fighting over Michael.

Catriona, a friend of the band from the group 'Queen Of Japan' provides the dulcet female co-vocals. In the end the band felt that the new version was a diluted version of the original, so decided not to use it for the release of the track as a single and stuck with the orginal album version.

Remix of 'Michael' by one of the band's favourite artists 'Simon Bookish' - the first of the new breed of experimental popstars, inspired by youthful dalliances with avant-garde classical music, then industrial, post-punk and new electronica.

Funk tastic French dance duo Daft Punk have also had a bash at reworking 'Take Me Out', albeit their take on the track isn't exactly quantitatively different from the original version, give or take a bit of distortion thrown in here and there.
